Hi everyone!
Now that I’m walking outside more — trying to stay busy during quarantine — and the weather is heating up here in Chicago, I finally gave into the bike shorts trend. Since I’m sure I’m not alone in embracing this new staple, I thought why not show different ways to style them so we can all show ’em off together! See below on some outfit ideas to help inspire you.
Graphic Tee

I’ve been seeing this idea pop up A LOT lately and love how it’s a little more “dressed up.” Take a graphic tee (even more one sized up so it’s more like a dress) + biker short + gold jewelry + sunnies. I love how effortless it is – everyone has old tees from college days, concerts, etc. and this look gives them a new life!
“Dressed Up”

Speaking of dressed up, just because bike shorts started as athletic gear doesn’t mean you can only wear them in a casual setting (*cough* leggings *cough*). Add a leather jacket for an edge or a lousy bodysuit for a touch of sweetness – especially if the shorts you wear end up having a bright color or a whimsical pattern on them.
Tie Dye

Tie dye – the ultimate trend right now. You’ve either DIY’d it or purchased an item with the pattern but either way it is not going away anytime soon. Pair it with bike shorts for the ultimate on trend look that’s comfy and cute!
Patterned/Textured Short

Don’t let tops have all the fun! Switch up your bike short look by wearing a pair with a print or cool texture. The most popular ones I’ve seen are cheetah/leopard print and camo but also fell in love with this tropical printed one from Old Navy too that goes with the bright colors we tend to gravitate toward in the summer.
Did I miss any? Let me know how you’ll wear bike shorts over the next few months by commenting your ideas below. I’d love to hear ’em!
See you in the next post!
